The European Union is open to further support Moldova and the reform program to improve the quality of life of its citizens - Charles Michel.

The European Council President said this at a meeting in Brussels with Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean, during which they discussed Moldova's EU accession process, aspects related to regional security, as well as the Moldovan authorities' firm commitment to building a sustainable and prosperous state. Prime Minister spoke about the government's priorities and the country's European agenda, noting that the support Moldova receives from the EU once again confirms the progress made in many key fields. He said that Moldova's future is in a big European family. "The government is building a European Moldova and will continue to make the necessary efforts to bring prosperity to every home. Together, we are stronger and we must invest in a long-term perspective for peace, prosperity and security," Dorin Recean said. For his part, Charles Michel said that the European Union is open for further support for Moldova and for a reform program to improve the quality of life of the citizens. The officials also discussed hybrid threats, cyberattacks and disinformation actions undertaken by Russia in Moldova, Moldova's compliance with the international restrictive measures, as well as the assistance provided within the European Peace Facility. // 21.05.2024 - InfoMarket
