The new Customs Code of Moldova will come into force on January 1, 2024.
This is provided for by the law on amendments to certain normative acts, which the parliament adopted on Friday in the final reading, approving the government's proposal to extend the deadline for the entry into force of the provisions of the new Customs Code. Postponing its entry into force was necessary to ensure the continuity of the harmonization of Moldovan legislation with EU legislation. At the same time, the opinion of the business environment was taken into account. In addition, the bill aims to adjust some customs duties on imports of certain goods in accordance with the Combined Nomenclature of Goods, which will stimulate the business environment for doing business in Moldova. The purpose of the bill as a whole is to improve the legal framework for the uniform application of certain rules throughout the country and to clarify certain tax and customs aspects. // 03.03.2023 — InfoMarket
