
The National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) will be reorganized by April 1, 2023.
The government approved the corresponding decree at a meeting on Wednesday. The document enshrines the mission, goals and objectives, areas of activity of the agency, the order of organization of its activities. According to the new staff schedule, the number of ANSA employees will be reduced to 1194 units, of which 255 will work in the central office, 148 - in inspections at the border and 791 - in the territorial subdivisions. At present, the limit staff number of ANSA is 1510, of which 181 units - for the central office, 150 units - for the border inspection posts and 1179 units - for the territorial subdivisions. At the same time, it is planned to organize a new inspection post at the checkpoint in Sculeni, which is being built at the expense of the World Bank. It is also planned to reduce from 23 to 10 units the territorial units of ANSA with management and legal entity status. This will optimize about 100 management positions, resulting in a reduction of the proportion of management positions from 20% to 12%.
