Tariffs for public services for municipal waste management must be reviewed every 3 years.

Tariffs for public services for municipal waste management must be reviewed every 3 years.

This is provided for by the government-approved methodology for calculating tariffs for certain public services for municipal waste management. The document establishes a unified procedure for calculating, approving and applying tariffs for public services for managing household waste, including controlled collection, sorting, transportation and storage of municipal waste, with the exception of toxic, hazardous and waste with a special regime; organization of recycling, waste disposal, creation of landfills and other infrastructure for waste management. The methodology establishes the procedure for accounting for costs when determining tariffs for public services for municipal waste management, as well as the principles for calculating, approving and applying tariffs. It is envisaged that tariffs are calculated by operators for each locality separately and for each category of consumers: household consumers in private and multi-storey residential buildings and non-residential consumers generating small amounts of waste (like household ones) and generating large volumes of waste. The government approved this methodology, recommending that local authorities, within 6 months after the entry into force of the new methodology, approve the necessary changes to their own regulations and update the tariffs for public services for municipal waste management.// 14.12.2022 — InfoMarket
