
Alexandru Mustiata has been appointed as the new director of the Information and Security Service of Moldova for a period of 5 years.
The corresponding decision to appoint him to this post was made by the country's parliament by the votes of 54 deputies. Today Alexandru Musteata took the oath before the deputies. Recall that in the first half of the day today the parliament approved the resignation of the former director of the ISS Alexandr Esaulenko. According to the current legislation, the Information and Security Service is headed by a director appointed by the Parliament at the proposal of the President of Moldova. Alexandru Musteata is 34 years old. He specializes in national security, European studies and political science. Studied in Moldova, Latvia and Belgium. Prior to his appointment as director of the ISS, Alexandru Musteata was a member of the Central Electoral Commission and the chief state adviser in the field of combating corruption in the office of the prime minister. Prior to that, he worked in the non-state sector, in particular, in the Soros-Moldova Foundation.
