
Moldovan authorities approved measures to stimulate the export of perishable agricultural products and tightened the rules of food imports.
The relevant decision was adopted by the Emergency Situations Commission at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita. According to the regulation approved at the meeting, the National Agency for Food Safety together with the General Inspectorate of Border Police are to develop and approve a procedure for export through the green corridors established at state border crossing points. Another decision of the Emergency Situations Commission stipulates that foodstuffs will not be allowed into Moldova if they are half-expired in case of products with a shelf life up to 90 days, or if it is less than a third, but not less than 50 days, in case of products with a shelf life from 90 days to 18 months. // 31.05.2022 - InfoMarket
