
Moldovan government approved financing for 2022-2024 of 46 regional development projects totaling 1.58 billion lei.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the Unified Program Document for 2022-2024, which provides for the allocation of 912.33 million lei from the National Fund for Regional Development for the implementation of projects. The rest of the funds are planned to be allocated from the budgets of local authorities, as well as to attract from external sources. Of the 46 approved projects in the region, the Center will implement 17 projects (899.2 million lei), North - 13 (282.1 million lei), South - 10 (349.5 million lei), Gagauzia - 6 (48.1 million lei). According to the Unified Program Document, 5 projects are aimed at using the business infrastructure; 1 project - for the development of the business environment; 8 projects - for the development of tourism; 6 projects - for the development of infrastructure of public urban spaces; 26 projects in the field of water supply and sewerage. Priority regional development projects were selected on the basis of open competitions organized in 2020-2021. Another 16 projects not included in the Single Programming Document for 2022-2024 will be included in the Regional Operational Programs at the level of development regions after the regional development agencies identify alternative sources of funding, including from external sources. // 12.01.2022 — InfoMarket
