
The Moldova-EU Association Council’s meeting to take place on October 28 to identify priority actions for the implementation of the Association Agreement.
This was discussed during the meetings the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MFAEI) Nicu Popescu held in Brussels with EU high-ranking officials. They were aimed at intensifying Moldova's cooperation with the European Union and monitoring the implementation of the agreements of Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita during her recent visit to Brussels. According to the MFAEI, at the meeting of Nicu Popescu with the European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Oliver Varhelyi, there were discussed preparations for the meeting of the Moldova-EU Association Council, scheduled for October 28, at which priority actions to be taken by the Republic of Moldova for the implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU will be outlined. “The messages of the European partners showed their full openness to support our country in carrying out reforms. It is important to benefit from this openness, including through the exemplary mobilization of all interested institutions, the fulfillment of the commitments undertaken in relation to the EU as this openness coincides with the mandate received by the government from the citizens, which can only facilitate our European path,” Nicu Popescu stressed.
