Prime Minister Dorin Recean has asked the owners of trade networks to support local producers in promoting their products

According to the government's press service, Prime Minister made the request during a discussion with representatives of Moldova’s largest retail chains. He discussed with them the situation in the energy sector and the measures that can be taken to prevent the rise in prices for the most important foodstuffs. Dorin Recean said that the government makes efforts to support the business environment and protect the national economy, including by granting a compensation of up to 50 per cent of the increase in the electricity tariffs for 3 months. In this context, Prime Minister called on representatives of trade networks to show solidarity with local producers and support them in order to promote domestic products. “It is important to cooperate and protect citizens' purchasing power, to grant them access to quality products and to ensure the continuity of domestic production,” Dorin Recean stressed. At the same time, Prime Minister highlighted the actions of the representatives of the trade networks to reduce the consumption of energy resources. // 20.01.2025 - InfoMarket
