Moldovan wine exports to Japan increased by 94% in physical terms and by 46% in value terms in the first 11 months of 2024

The National Office of Vine and Wine reported this, noting that this confirms the growing interest to Moldovan wines in the Land of the Rising Sun. The “Vernissage of Moldovan wines” held in Tokyo, where wines and strong alcoholic beverages produced by 16 Moldovan wineries were presented, is expected to further expand the export of Moldovan wines to Japan. They aroused the interest of importers, distributors, sommeliers and wine industry professionals. Thanks to the tasting of different types of drinks, the guests were able to enjoy exquisite flavors and new combinations, while traditional dishes complemented the image of our country as a wine destination.
