Moldovan table grape exports to the EU in the first 10 months of 2024 amounted to 627 million lei, which is 1.9 times more than in the same period a year earlier

This was reported by the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, noting that this is a record level. For the same period last year, the value of Moldovan grape exports to the EU countries amounted to 328 million lei, for the first 10 months of 2022 - 236 million lei, for the first 10 months of 2021 - 148 million lei, for the first 10 months of 2020 - 137 million lei. In physical terms, Moldovan grape supplies to the EU in January-October 2024 amounted to 26 thousand tons. "The noted progress reflects not only the quality of Moldovan grapes, but also the exceptional work of our farmers, combined with the government's efforts to ensure access to new markets. The EU share in Moldova's total grape exports increased from 36% in 2021 to 74% in 2024, with Romania and Poland being the main trading partners. The Russian Federation has almost completely lost its importance as a market for Moldovan grapes, its share having decreased from 48% in 2021 to 6% in 2024. These figures prove that our products can compete in the most demanding markets in the world," the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization said in a statement.// 22.11.2024 — InfoMarket.
