This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova Mihail Popșoi during a meeting with the Minister of Commerce of Saudi Arabia Majid bin Abdullah Al-Kassabi, with whom he discussed increasing the export of Moldovan products to the Saudi Arabian market. The meeting took place in the context of strengthening bilateral economic relations and signing a general agreement on cooperation between Moldova and Saudi Arabia, which opens up new opportunities for activating trade and attracting investments. During the meeting, Mihail Popșoi also touched upon the issue of increasing the export of Moldovan products to the Saudi Arabian market, especially apples, nuts, animal products and cosmetics. According to official data, Moldovan exporters supply apples both to the Saudi Arabian market and to the Persian Gulf region. In October 2024 alone, almost 4 thousand tons of apples from Moldova were exported to Saudi Arabia. The discussions also touched on the possibility of creating a joint commission to facilitate dialogue between the authorities and support economic cooperation initiatives. At the end of the meeting, Mihail Popșoi invited Saudi investors to explore the possibilities of industrial parks and free economic zones in Moldova. // 05.11.2024 — InfoMarket
