About 90% of Moldovan honey is exported to the EU countries, - the National Food Safety Agency

As reported by the National Food Safety Agency, the beekeeping sector in Moldova continues to develop. Thus, about 3,700 tons of honey are produced in Moldova annually, of which about 70% is exported. At the same time, the main market for Moldovan honey is the European Union, which accounts for about 90% of exports, which is about 2,200 tons per year (according to estimates for the last 3 years). The National Food Safety Agency calls on Moldovan honey producers who want to export to the EU to apply for an export permit. Currently, 10 Moldovan producers have the right to export honey to the EU market: Apifera (v. Costesti, Ialoveni district), Apicola Lux CC (v. Ghidighici, Chisinau municipality), Casa Albinei (v.
