Moldova will receive the Stratlink electronic strategic control authorization system from the United States in order to digitalize the procedure of controlling exports, imports and strategic goods
The US Department of State will donate this system to the Moldovan Public Services Agency within the framework of the agreement, the start of negotiations on which was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, with government's Secretary General Artur Mija authorized to sign the document. It is planned that the implementation of the Stratlink system will prevent the illegal transfer of goods and sensitive technologies, as it will control and regulate the export, re-export, transit, transshipment, as well as the management of licenses for goods in transit through Moldova. Currently, there is a unified system in our country, and the body authorized to issue, renew, suspend or cancel permits is the Public Services Agency. Permits are issued on the basis of decisions of the Interdepartmental Commission for the control of export, re-export, import and transit of strategic goods. To obtain permits, the applicant submits an application through the unified electronic center for submitting applications for permits. The decision to issue a permit is made within 30 calendar days after receipt of all required documents. Transition to the Stratlink system will ensure digitization of the process of providing public services in this area. The cost of the Stratlink system is almost $30 thousand. The government will cover the cost of internal transportation, as well as the cost of moving and installing it in the places of end use. At the same time, all costs related to the final Stratlink product will be covered by the EXBS program of the U.S. Embassy in RM. // 24.12.2024 - InfoMarket.
