The Ministry of Environment plans to improve the regulatory framework for handling worn-out tires
The Ministry organized a meeting with economic agents to discuss changes to the regulation currently in force and to exchange the views of all stakeholders on the issue. Grigore Stratulat, State Secretary of the Ministry, said that economic agents are obliged to collect waste from the public. He urged companies to register in the Producers’ List of products subject to Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulation by November 15. Companies that put on the market products that pollute the environment are obliged to register, otherwise they will not be able to import. The participants of the meeting were also informed about the launch of the roadmap, within which economic agents are invited to make specific proposals to improve the regulation. Proposals can be submitted until September 1. // 06.08.2024 – InfoMarket
