
In the first half of 2024, the National Agency for Food Safety charged more than 1.7 thousand fines worth 5.1 million lei
ANSA press service reported that in January-June 2024, the agency's inspectors conducted 9070 inspections of entrepreneurial activity, of which most of them were unplanned, organized on the basis of complaints and in connection with the issuance of permits and/or licenses. Another 1,558 inspections were conducted in state agencies and structures that are not engaged in business activities, most of them planned inspections. As a result of the inspections, the inspectors charged 1764 fines worth 5.1 million lei, as well as drew up 124 recovery plans.
