USAID-backed financial support program to promote grapes and fruits on international markets has been launched in Moldova

The Association of Table Grape Exporters of Moldova reported this, noting that the program is implemented with the support of the USAID Project in Moldova “Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Activity”. The financial support program for the promotion of grapes and fruits on international markets will help exporters to carry out promotions in stores and other points of sale on international markets. The goal of the program is to increase the visibility and recognition of table grapes and other fruits from Moldova among consumers, to promote the grape variety "Moldova" in order to stimulate B2C (business-to-consumer) sales. The program is open to exporters of table grapes and fruits, companies that have come up with an innovative and effective idea to promote fresh fruits to consumers, companies wishing to strengthen their positions on international markets where they are already present. Under the program, table grapes and fruit exporters from Moldova can benefit from covering up to 50% of the total cost of promotion activities, up to 5000 euros per campaign, plus advisory assistance. The deadline for submission is September 5. The evaluation will be based on the following criteria: feasibility of the promotional campaign and analysis of submitted illustrative materials; "first come, first served" within the available budget of 15,000 euros. According to USAID, this program is a great opportunity for Moldovan table grape exporters to promote their products to a wider audience and strengthen their positions on international markets. // 01.08.2024 – InfoMarket
