As the InfoMarket agency was informed by the National Bureau of Statistics, the export of domestic goods in January-December 2023 amounted to $2 billion 870.1 million (70.9% of the total), decreasing by 3.2% compared to the same period previous year. At the same time, the re-export of foreign goods (after their significant processing and classical re-export) in 2023 amounted to $1 billion 178.5 million (29.1% of the total volume), which is 13.7% less than the 2022 figure. In this case, the re-export of goods after processing (clothing, shoes, shoe parts, chairs, electrical wiring and cables, other products for the automotive industry, shelled nuts, chairs and other furniture, suitcases, textile products, toys, etc.) amounted to 13.8% in the total volume of exports, and the classic re-export of foreign goods (gasoline, diesel fuel, vehicles, nuts, medicines, sunflower oil, sunflower seeds, cigarettes, wine distillates, whiskey, gin, vodka, liqueurs, beer, fabrics, knitwear, essential oils, perfumes and cosmetics, travel and sports bags, backpacks, wrist and other watches, corn) – 15.3%. According to the NBS, motor transport was most often used to export goods abroad during this period - 80.8% of the total volume, followed by sea transport - 13.5%, railway - 3.4%, air - 1.1%, fixed transport installations (1.1%), postal items - 0.1%. In general, Moldovan exports to the EU countries in January-December 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, increased by 4.31% - to $2 billion 646.8 million, to the CIS countries - decreased by 14% - to $896 .9 million, and to other countries - decreased by 32.8% - to $504.9 million. The share of EU countries in the total volume of Moldovan exports during the specified period increased from 58.57% to 65.37%, the share of CIS countries decreased from 24.08% to 22.15%, and the share of countries outside the EU and CIS decreased from 17.35% to 12.47%. According to the NBS, the main destination countries of Moldovan exports in the specified period of this year were: Romania (35.1% of total Moldovan exports), Ukraine (14.7%), Italy (6.4%), Germany (5.5%), Czech Republic (4%), Russia (3.6%), Turkey (3.5%), Poland (3.3%), Belarus and Bulgaria (2.1% each), USA (1.5%), Spain (1.4%), the Netherlands (1.2%), Hungary (1.1%), Kazakhstan, Greece, Great Britain and France (1% each). Herewith, in 2023, compared to 2022, Moldova increased exports to Romania (+14.5%), the Czech Republic (+54.6%), Kazakhstan (+44.0%), Egypt (2.6 times), Spain (+28.6%), Poland (+9.2%), USA (+19.7%), Lebanon (+54.8%), Cyprus (+47.9%), to Indonesia (27.5 times), Malaysia (20.4 times), Greece (+21.2%), Croatia (2.6 times), Kyrgyzstan (2 times), Latvia (+58.8 %), Lithuania (+20.7%), UAE (+48.5%), Armenia (1.9 times), Saudi Arabia (+38.5%), Belarus (+3.6%). Meanwhile, during this period Moldova reduced exports to Turkey (-53.3%), Ukraine (-17.3%), Italy (-21.5%), Bulgaria (-39.4%), Russia (-24.2%), Switzerland (-50%), Great Britain (-35.9%), Netherlands (-26.4%), Portugal (-69%), Iraq (-70.5%), Germany (-4.1%), Hungary (-12.2%), Slovakia (26.2%), Syria (-98.5%), Belgium (-19.9%), Canada (-23.9%).
