
Exports of Moldovan goods to Russia in January-November 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, decreased by 25% - to $134.5 million.
As the InfoMarket agency was informed by the National Bureau of Statistics, at the same time, supplies of Russian products to Moldova for 11 months in 2023, in comparison with the same period of the previous year, decreased by 72.8% - to $300.3 million. Herewith, the share of the Russian Federation in the total volume of Moldovan exports decreased over the specified period from 4.5% to 3.6%, and in imports it decreased from 13.23% to 3.82%. Based on the results of January-November 2023, Russia took 6th place in the list of Moldova’s largest partners in terms of volumes of purchases of Moldovan products (after Romania, Ukraine, Italy, Germany and the Czech Republic) in value terms. The Russian Federation took 7th place in terms of volumes of product supplies to the Republic of Moldova, after Romania, Ukraine, China, Turkey, Germany and Italy. The negative trade balance of Moldova with the Russian Federation in January-November 2023 amounted to $165.8 million, decreasing by more than 5 times compared to the same period in 2022 ($924.5 million).
