Such data of the German Federal Bureau of Statistics (Destatis) were presented by the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK România), which is the official representative of the German economy in Romania. According to Destatis, Moldovan exports to Germany in 2023, compared to the previous year, increased by 11.4% to 323.5 million euros, while the supply of German goods to Moldova increased by 2% to 547.7 million euros. "The reform program of the current Moldovan government is remarkable. We are convinced that it strengthens bilateral relations and more and more German companies are interested in Moldova as a place to do business. There is potential for cooperation, especially in the processing and food industry, energy and trade," said Sebastian Metz, CEO and member of the Board of Directors of AHK România. In the list of Germany's trade partners, compiled by Destatis, Moldova is on the 95th place.
