
More than 120 entrepreneurs from Moldova and Romania participated in the Moldovan-Romanian Business Forum organized in Chisinau within the 21st "Made in Moldova" National Exhibition.
President of the Moldovan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Sergiu Harea, said that the goal of this event, as well as of other business forums held in Moldova and Romania, is to boost the Moldovan-Romanian trade and economic ties, to identify new business opportunities, to establish direct cooperation contacts with Romanian businessmen, to encourage investments. President of the Moldovan Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed confidence that Romanian companies will be able to find reliable partners in Moldova. "The Chamber, which I represent, has set as one of its main objectives the internationalization of domestic companies. In this sense, we need strong partnerships and sustainable investments to stimulate progress," said Sergiu Harea. As it was said, Romania supports the internationalization of Moldovan businesses in Romania. Until today, only last year, more than 400 companies from Moldova were opened in Romania. At the same time, the Romanian Investors Association in Moldova is an important social partner of the Moldovan authorities, as investments from Romania have created more than 10 thousand jobs and the total turnover of the members of the Romanian Investors Association in Moldova exceeds 1 billion euros. "We are very pleased to participate again in the "Made in Moldova" exhibition and Economic Forum with a delegation of entrepreneurs and managers interested in bilateral cooperation opportunities. This is a proof of interest in business and at the same time a continuation of the excellent cooperative relationship between our Chambers of Commerce and Industry, embodied in supporting businesses on both banks of the Prut. Together, we support Moldova's European path and encourage Moldovan companies to be open, to adopt our experience, to harmonize their standards and not to shy away from accessing the European market," said Paul Butnariu, President of the Iasi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Iasi participated in the official opening of the "Made in Moldova" exhibition together with a significant delegation of companies from Iasi, along with a delegation of representatives from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vaslui and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Botosani. The Moldovan Chamber of Commerce and Industry maintains close cooperation relations with the Romanian Chamber institutions. At the regional level, the branches of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova have concluded cooperation agreements with 18 Romanian chamber institutions. At the national level, CCI Moldova has signed 14 cooperation agreements with county and national chambers of commerce in Romania. Over the years, various joint actions have been undertaken in order for the business environment of the two countries to maximize the business opportunities of the region. The Forum ended with bilateral meetings of companies from Moldova and Romania.
