Moldova to increase requirements for the temperature of transportation and storage of fast-frozen food products intended for human consumption.
The government has introduced a number of amendments to the regulatory framework for the control of frozen food products. According to the amendments, transportation vehicles must be equipped with recording devices for regular temperature monitoring, thus ensuring optimal storage conditions for frozen food. The draft also sets strict requirements for the devices used for temperature monitoring, they must comply with international standards. Food industry operators are required to keep documentation to verify that these devices meet the required standards. The temperature records must be dated and retained by the establishment for at least 1 year or longer, taking into account the nature and shelf life of the food to be frozen. Economic agents will have to incur costs for the purchase of thermometers, data loggers and a monitoring system. They must ensure compliance with the permitted temperature regime at the stages of transportation and display of goods in store windows. // 11.01.2024 - InfoMarket.
