Such information is given by the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) in the Balance of Payments for January-September 2023. The NBM noted that the export of services in the III quarter of 2023 amounted to $642.91 million, which is 4.3% more than in the same period of 2022. At the same time, in the III quarter of 2023, compared to the same period of the previous year, the export of IT services increased by 30.6% - to $143.51 million, accounting for 22.3% of the total volume of exports of services for the period. The export of professional and management consulting services increased by 48.1%, to $41.68 million, and its share amounted to 6.5% of the total export of services. At the same time, according to NBM data, the largest share in the third quarter of 2023 came from the export of tourism services, which amounted to $185.1 million (28.8% of the total), and decreased by 10.9%, compared to the same period of the previous year, due to a decrease of about 20% in personal tourism services, while the export of business tourism services increased by 25.5%. Also, technical, commercial and other business services decreased by 30.6%, compared to the 3rd quarter of 2022. According to NBM data, in 9 months of 2023, compared to the same period of 2022, Moldova increased its imports of services by 15% - to $1 billion 164.18 million. At the same time, imports of services in Q3 2023 amounted to $458.53 million, which is 15.9% more than in the same period of 2022. In particular, imports of tourism services increased by 17.2% - to $163.09 million (35.6% of the total), which was due to the increase in imports of personal tourism services by 19.4% - to $124.6 million. Imports of transportation services increased by 8.9% to $166.94 million, driven by an 83.1% increase in air transportation services to $76.17 million.
