The decision to sell the Moldovan company Danube Logistics (the operator of the Giurgiulesti port) to the Dutch company Danube Logistics Holding BV is not discussed by the court and remains in force.

The decision to sell the Moldovan company Danube Logistics (the operator of the Giurgiulesti port) to the Dutch company Danube Logistics Holding BV is not discussed by the court and remains in force.

Danube Logistics announced this when clarifying the latest decision of the Dutch court. In particular, the company provided clarifications on the 7 September ruling of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal in the context of false and misleading interpretations disseminated by Bemol Retail and its associated media. Danube Logistics noted that in September 2020, Danube Logistics Holding BV filed a lawsuit in the Netherlands against Bemol Retail and several of its affiliated companies after they tried to circumvent the final and effective decision of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal of September 11, 2018 in Moldova. According to this final decision, the sale of the Moldovan enterprise Danube Logistics to the Dutch company Danube Logistics Holding BV ("Decision on the sale of the port") in 2011 was recognized as unconditionally legal and transparent, and any statements by Bemol Retail about allegedly made by Mr. Thomas Moser violations were found to be unfounded. The court also found the appraisal and the sale price to be fair. On September 7, 2021, the Amsterdam Court of Appeal rejected the demand of Danube Logistics Holding BV to terminate the actions of Bemol Retail in Moldova, which violate the Decision to sell the port, arguing that the Dutch court has no right to interfere with the administration of justice by another state. However, the same decision of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal clearly states that the decision to sell the port is not discussed and, accordingly, remains in force. “Thus, it is clear that the statement released by Bemol Retail and some news agencies is false and manipulative,” said Danube Logistics. Danube Logistics is the general investor and operator of the Giurgiulesti port, the main river port in Moldova with access to the sea. Since 2005, Danube Logistics has turned the Giurgiulesti port into one of the most successful ports on the Danube, facilitating the international trade of Moldovan companies with companies from more than 50 countries every year. Danube Logistics is wholly owned by the Dutch company Danube Logistics Holding BV. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is the sole ultimate owner of the Danube Logistics group of companies.// 16.09.2021 — InfoMarket
