Moldova will study France's experience to develop its agricultural sector and promote reforms with a view to joining the EU – the Ministry of Agriculture
This was discussed during a meeting between Andrian Digolean, State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, and Dominique Waag, French Ambassador to Moldova. During the meeting, the French government's proposal to second an international technical expert to the Ministry was presented. It is planned that this expert will perform two tasks. On the one hand, he will provide institutional support in the negotiations on Chapter 11 “Agriculture and Rural Development,” advising on negotiation strategy, reform implementation, and monitoring of their application. On the other hand, he will support Moldova's efforts to harmonize national legislation with European legislation in the wine industry. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the French Development Agency (AFD) is authorized to carry out its activities in Moldova to support development projects, and the priority areas of cooperation with our country are: reforestation and irrigation, modernization of water supply and sanitation systems, energy cooperation, and energy efficiency in buildings. // 24.09.2025 — InfoMarket.
