This was reported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and the Agency for Interventions and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA), noting that this is more than 364% more than in January 2023. The money was directed to farmers through various subsidy mechanisms as follows: 300.7 million lei - the approved amount for 555 requests received in 2023 regarding the payment of post-investment subsidies; 125 million lei - the approved amount for 3 requests received in 2023 and 848 requests received in 2024 regarding additional payments (investment loans, cutting down perennial plantings, insurance premiums); 1.5 million lei is the approved amount for 3 requests received in 2023 regarding advance payments.
