Producers of organic products are required to register their activities with ANSA and notify the regulatory body annually of their activities
The National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) has announced that as of January 1, 2025, the rules for controls and other traceability and compliance measures regarding organic production and labeling of organic products came into force. Specifically, operators or groups of operators who produce, process, distribute, store, import, export and/or trade in organic products are required to register their activities with the supervisory authority upon entering the organic production system; notify the supervisory authority annually of their activities; and subject their activities to a system of control and certification by an accredited and recognized inspection body. The operator or the group of operators may submit the record sheets for 2025 electronically (info@ansa.gov.md) or in hard copy to ANSA (63 Mihail Kogalniceanu St., MD-2009). // 06.01.2025 - InfoMarket
