IFAD offers Moldovan farmers funding up to $300 thousand to restore irrigation reservoirs and irrigation systems.
As noted in the message of the unit for implementation of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Programs in Moldova, in particular, the constant increase in air temperature in recent years is creating more and more problems for agricultural producers, and IFAD offers real solutions to overcome them. Farmers can access infrastructure projects totaling up to $300,000 to restore irrigation reservoirs and irrigation systems. These funds can be received by registered private farmers, residents of Moldova, engaged in business activities in rural areas and owning and/or renting up to 50 hectares of land. The Capacity Building for Rural Transformation project has a limited budget. The first stage of reviewing applications will begin in February. In 2023, the IFAD Moldova Program Implementation Unit supported the implementation of 19 infrastructure projects in Moldova for a total amount of 78 million lei ($4.3 million). // 15.01.2024 — InfoMarket.
