As reported by the National Agency for Food Safety, a provision has come into force providing benefits to young graduates of universities in the field of veterinary medicine, both Moldovan and foreign. It's about young specialists who, within 2 years after completing their studies, get a job or independently engage in professional activities as a veterinarian in cities and villages (communes), with the exception of the cities of Chisinau and Balti, will be able to count on state support. In particular, they will receive a one-time benefit in the amount of 15 average salaries in the economy, which will be paid in 3 equal tranches: the first payment - after the first month of activity, and then at the end of each year of activity. Also from the budget they will be compensated for the cost of renting housing (based on a rental agreement registered with the competent authorities, concluded between the owner and a young specialist, within 2 thousand lei per month), monthly - the cost of 30 kW of electricity (based on a payment receipt) and annually - costs per 1 cubic meter of firewood and 1 ton of coal, and in the case of gas heating - the equivalent cost of 1 cubic meter of firewood and 1 ton of coal. The areas of activity of graduates of veterinary medicine have also been expanded, they cover such areas as monitoring the health and welfare of animals, the safety of products of animal origin, sanitary supervision of animal feed, etc. Certified veterinarians can work in enterprises, peasant farms, livestock farms, and slaughterhouses in government institutions (the National Agency for Food Safety, Republican Center for Veterinary Diagnostics), veterinary clinics and pharmacies where the direct presence of a veterinarian is required. // 12.01.2024 — InfoMarket.
