
Moldovan wines won 17 gold medals at the XXI International Città de Vino Oenological Wine Competition in Italy.
Among them were 5 large gold medals. At the same time, Moldovan wines participated in this competition for the first time. Participation in it was organized by the National Bureau of Vine and Wine with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) within the framework of the project "Rural Competitiveness and Sustainability in Moldova". The awarding ceremony was attended by Italian Minister of Agriculture Francesco Lollobrigida, Mayor of Rome Roberto Gualtieri, as well as representatives of Moldova, including the first secretary of the Moldovan Embassy in Italy, Vadim Moțarschi, who received medals on behalf of 7 awarded wineries.
