Farmers will be compensated for excise duties on diesel fuel purchased from November 16, 2022 to September 30, 2023.

The Government has approved Regulations on the procedure for granting additional subsidies for excise duty on diesel fuel from the National Fund for Agricultural and Rural Development. In particular, micro, small and medium-sized farms will benefit from compensation of 100% of the rate of excise duty on diesel fuel purchased from November 16, 2022 to September 30, 2023: 2980 lei/t in 2022 and 3248 lei/t in 2023. At the same time, large farms will be compensated 30% of the established excise tax rate: 894 lei/t in 2022 and 974.4 lei/t in 2023. Applications for subsidies for excise tax compensation for diesel fuel purchased before June 29, 2023 are to be submitted until July 31, 2023, and those purchased from June 30 to September 30 - until September 30.
