According to the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture, in particular, 247.54 million lei was paid in June - for post-investment subsidies; 20.2 million lei - on requests for advance subsidies that contribute to improving living standards and employment in rural areas; 6.15 million lei - on applications for project implementation through LEADER approach; 5.55 million lei - for subsidizing insurance in agriculture; 0.86 million lei - on applications for advance subsidies for development of start-up projects. Another 3,005 applications for subsidies are to be processed in the near future, of which 12 applications are still suspended by judicial authorities, amounting to about 4.65 million lei. About 476 million lei is expected to be transferred to beneficiaries' accounts after applications are fully processed. The Agency assures farmers that it is making significant efforts and undertakes specific actions to improve the ability to verify applications for subsidies.
