According to the analysis, prepared by the expert Iurie Rija, the average price of wheat exports amounted to 5.21 lei/kg (by 23% lower than in the previous season). The highest prices for wheat exports were in July 2022 (5.74 lei/kg), but starting from August the price began to decrease, reaching the lowest level in May 2023 - 3.99 lei/kg. By comparison, during the 2021-2022 season the export price of wheat increased from 3.91 lei/kg - in July 2021, up to 5.23 lei/kg - in January 2022. Wheat export brought the agricultural companies revenues of 2.39 billion lei, which is 44% less than in the previous season. About 90% of wheat was exported by 30 companies, with Rostan Plus (17% of exports), Agrofloris-Nord (11%), Orom-Imexpo (8%), Agrostoc (8%), Limburg (5%) being in the top 5. In the previous season, Trans Cargo Terminal, Rostan Plus, Agrofloris-Nord and Limburg were the leaders. Almost 59% of Moldovan wheat in the 2022-2023 season was delivered to Romania, 18.5% - to Turkey, 8.4% - to Greece, 4.8% - to Indonesia, 3.3% - to Malaysia, etc. In the previous agricultural year the leader in terms of Moldovan wheat supplies was Greece, followed by Romania, Indonesia and Turkey.
