Moldovan winemakers can benefit from Bridge grants to participate in international events.
The Future Technologies Activity Project, funded by USAID and Sweden, has partnered with the Invest Moldova Agency to present Bridge Program opportunities for wineries. They will have a chance to get up to $1500 a year as a grant to participate in international events (exhibitions, contests, etc.). Earlier the companies of tourist sector, horticulture and beekeeping, which are supported by USAID project on rising competitiveness and sustainability of rural areas, participated in this program. Now the wine industry companies have also gained access to the program. Winemaking is one of the most important industries for Moldova, and participation in international events is necessary to promote Moldovan products and strengthen their position in other markets. In the coming months Moldovan winemakers will be able to take part in a number of major international exhibitions in Europe and Asia: ProWine Asia (25-28 April), London Wine Fair (15-17 May), International Festival of honey and wine in Serbia (11-12 May), Vinexpo Asia in Singapore (23-25 May), China International Wine & Food Fair (2-4 June) etc. It will allow winemakers to establish new business contacts to better understand international markets and opportunities for the development of their business. Companies choose the events on their own, according to their corporate development strategies. As a reminder, the Bridge program covers three areas of funding: participation fees, accommodation and transportation. Companies can request support to cover two of these while assuming the remaining costs. To apply, visit https://bridge.invest.gov.md. So far more than 100 companies in the creative industries, digital media and film production, light industry, engineering, IT and IoT, cleantech, research, inbound tourism, horticulture, beekeeping and others have received financial support through the Bridge program to participate in exhibitions, conferences, fairs, summits and business trips. // 07.04.2023 - InfoMarket
