Farmers who provide soil conservation and improvement can receive post-investment grants of up to $10,000.

The Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) has announced the second round of applications for post-investment grants under the Sustainable Land Management program, provided under the Moldova Agriculture Competitiveness Project (MAC-P). The program is open to farmers who have invested in farm machinery and equipment or in practices that conserve and improve soils. The grant reimburses up to 30% of investments in soil-protecting technologies and practices, with the maximum amount per beneficiary equal to $10,000. Specifically, through the grant, farmers are reimbursed for planters, choppers, sprayers, harvesters (No-Till technologies); Strip-Till harvesters; irrigation equipment and systems; hydraulic water intake structures; creation/restoration of windbreaks; reclamation of degraded lands through afforestation; weeding around trees in orchards.
