These are preliminary data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The NBS informed that, last year's growth in agricultural production was due to an increase in crop production by 75.5%. Livestock production decreased by 7%. At the same time, in 2021, the share of crop production in the total volume of agricultural products amounted to 81% (in 2020 - 69%), livestock - 19% (in 2020 - 31%). According to preliminary data from the NBS, in particular, the harvest of grain and leguminous crops in 2021 amounted to 4 million 220 thousand tons, up 2.8 times in physical terms. At the same time, the gross harvest of wheat amounted to 1 million 558 thousand tons and increased 2.7 times. Corn harvest increased 3 times - up to 2 million 333 thousand tons. Sunflower harvest in 2021 amounted to 950 thousand tons (+92.9%), sugar beet - 635 thousand tons (+50.1%), soybeans - 47 thousand tons (+ 40.1%), rapeseed - 92 thousand tons (+ 95.3%), potatoes - 217 thousand tons (+ 26%), vegetables - 230 thousand tons (+1.2%). The production of fruits, nuts and berries amounted to 856 thousand tons (+28.7%), grapes - 516 thousand tons (+11.7%). The NBS notes that in 2021, the average yield of cereals and legumes was 48.1 centners per hectare (up 2.6 times by 2020), wheat - 45.9 centners per hectare (up 2.4 times), corn - 53.6 centners per hectare (up 2.9 times), sunflower - 24.5 centners per hectare (+ 85.6%), sugar beet - 476.3 centners per hectare (+ 46.2%) , tobacco - 13.1 c/ha (+20.2%), soybeans - 22.1 c/ha (+75.4%), rapeseed - 27.4 c/ha (+40.5%), potatoes - 97.8 c/ha (+28.3%), field crops - 58.3 c/ha (+3.6%), fruits, nuts and berries - 74.3 c/ha (+31.5%), grapes – 45.2 q/ha (+15.3%). According to official data, in 2021, agricultural enterprises produced the bulk of the volume of sugar beets - 92.3% of the total, tobacco - 92%, rapeseed - 88.7%, cereals and legumes (except corn) - 77.1%, sunflower - 73.4%, soybeans - 58.8%. At the same time, 89.6% of the total potatoes, 81.3% of vegetables, 68.4% of grapes, 60.2% of fruits, nuts and berries and 57.5% of corn were produced by households and peasant farms. According to the NBS, last year the overall 7% decline in gross livestock production was due to a general decline in production of meat, milk and eggs. In particular, the cultivation of livestock and poultry in 2021, compared to 2020, decreased by 5.8% - to 173.2 thousand tons, while the indicator of agricultural enterprises decreased by 3% - to 91.3 thousand tons, and households of the population - decreased by 8.8% - to 81.9 thousand tons. The production of cow's milk decreased by 10.1% - to 289.2 thousand tons, while in agricultural enterprises it decreased by 4 .6% - to 22.2 thousand tons, and in households - decreased by 10.5% - to 267 thousand tons.
