The deadline for applications for advance subsidies for rural development is January 27.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment, only 9 applications have been submitted to date. Applications are accepted by the Agency for Interventions and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) in accordance with the Regulation on Granting Subsidies for Improving Living and Working in Rural Areas. The funds are allocated from the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas. According to the regulation, the right to receive advance subsidies have: administrative-territorial units of the 1st level (villages and communes, as well as cities with a population of up to 10 thousand inhabitants with the status of residents according to the data of the last population census), as well as legal entities and individuals registered in rural areas that create or develop non-agricultural activities. Support measures envisage three options: # 1 - improvement and development of rural infrastructure; # 2 - renovation and development of rural areas; # 3 - diversification of the rural economy through non-agricultural activities. The maximum amount of financial support provided by the state for beneficiaries of measures No. 1 and 2 is 80% of the total project budget, but not more than 3 million lei, and for recipients of measure No. 3 - 50%, but not more than 1 million lei. // 19.01.2021 — InfoMarket.
