The first campaign to promote Moldovan wines was launched on one of the e-commerce platforms in Romania.

The National Bureau of Vine and Wine reported this, stressing that now Moldovan wine has become even closer to Romanian consumers, since a wide selection of wines produced by Moldovan winemakers, united under the country's wine brand “Wine of Moldova. A Legend Alive”, is now also available at TopDrinks.ro. In particular, a special section dedicated to Moldovan wines has appeared on the website of this online platform, which includes 115 wines from 14 wineries of our country. The new event is part of an extensive campaign to promote Moldovan wine in the Romanian e-commerce market, which is one of the most important target markets. The initiative will last 3 months and is implemented by the National Office of Vine and Wine. Deputy Director of the National Office of Vine and Wine, Irina Bystritskaya, noted that the Moldovan wine is the most representative ambassador of our country abroad and has become a synonym for quality among Romanian consumers. “Therefore, we wanted to offer connoisseurs and wine lovers from Romania the opportunity to learn and enjoy wines produced in Moldova,” said Irina Bystritskaya, noting that a partnership with the online store in Romania is a natural choice of the National Office of Vine and Wine, given the evolution of product purchases over the past year. According to her, TopDrinks.ro sells Moldovan wines produced by Asconi Winery, Vinăria DAC, Kazayak Vin, Mileștii Mici, Rădăcini, Timbrus, Mircești, Chateau Vartely, Poiana Winery, Gitana, Chateau Cristi, Purcari, Fautor and Cricova. Until March 22, consumers from across the Prut will be able to buy wines at discounted prices, and when buying a set of 6 products, they will receive a gift - a digital wine thermometer. According to the National Office of Vine and Wine, in the first half of 2020, wines from Moldova remained in the TOP-10 countries-suppliers of wine products to the Romanian market. In the first half of 2020, 3.22 million liters of wine worth 129.8 million Moldovan lei were exported to Romania. // 04.01.2021 - InfoMarket.
