The issue of entitling Moldova to export livestock products to the EU countries is to be considered in 2021.
This was stated during the parliament discussions on the ratification of the Agreement on the 3rd additional financing of the project "Competitive Agriculture in Moldova MAC-P". The World Bank will allocate Moldova 13.5 million euros under this project to help the country create an integrated management system for animal by-products not intended for human consumption and build a plant for their destruction. As noted, the planned actions are included in the elaborated Roadmap for Moldova in order for the country to get the right to export livestock products to the EU countries. The afore-mentioned Roadmap was agreed earlier in Brussels at a meeting of the Moldova-EU Subcommittee on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Issues. It was planned that experts from the EU Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE) will pay a fact finding visit to Moldova this year, but due to the pandemic, the visit has been postponed to 2021. Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of Moldova expect that next year our country will be able to successfully pass the DG SANTE audit and obtain the right to export poultry meat, category B eggs and some other livestock products to the EU countries. // 20.11.2020 - InfoMarket.
