The country is stepping up its efforts to promote the Wine of Moldova brand, simplify export procedures, taxation and certification, and increase the export of quality Moldovan wines.
This was stated by the new director general of the National Bureau of Vine and Wine, Cristina Frolov, setting out the priorities of her activities as head of the National Bureau of Vine and Wine in a letter sent to all representatives of the wine sector of Moldova, united under the country's wine brand “Wine of Moldova. Living legend ”. She noted that the Moldovan wine industry is going through a period of changes, and the problems faced by winemakers and winegrowers require close cooperation and interaction with all participants in this sector. “We need to make even more efforts to promote the country's wine brand, which will lead to an increase in the export of quality wines. In addition, we intend to work together to simplify export, taxation and certification procedures, facilitate access to subsidies and development funds, attract additional investments, use them to protect the environment, strengthen our image and resist competition in the market from cheap wines produced in other countries of the world, in which climatic conditions make it possible to produce products at much lower costs than in Moldova. We will focus our efforts on these areas, because it is necessary to take quick and bold action, and we, representatives of the wine sector, must join forces and act together for the benefit of the industry, ”said the new CEO of the National Bureau of Vine and Wine, which started working on 23 November. Previously, for 8 years, Cristina Frolov was the general manager of the Castel MIMI winery, supervised the entire process of renovating the castle, which was later returned to the national and regional tourist route. Cristina Frolov also served as President of the National Association for Inland Tourism (ANTRIM), which promotes the country's tourism sector. // 23.11.2020 — InfoMarket.
