In Moldova, large non-residential gas consumers consuming over 100,000 cubic meters per year will transition to a free competitive market with negotiated gas prices starting April 1 – ANRE

This was announced by Constantin Borosan, Director of the National Agency for Energy Regulation, noting that, based on 2025 natural gas consumption estimates, there are currently 189 large non-residential natural gas consumers registered in Moldova consuming over 100,000 cubic meters per year, of which 68 are already on the free market. Lists of large non-residential gas consumers have been published on the websites of network operators, as well as on the ANRE website. Constantin Borosan emphasized that household consumers of natural gas, small non-household consumers, and large non-household consumers classified as enterprises and institutions providing essential social services (health care, basic social assistance, emergency situations, security, education, or public administration) have the right to natural gas supplies at both regulated and negotiated prices, based on their free choice.// 21.01.2026 — InfoMarket
