Moldova is open to innovation and investment, and it is increasingly integrating into European value chains - Eugen Osmochescu

The Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization made this statement during his participation in the first EU Enlargement Forum, organized for the first time in Brussels by European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Koss. According to him, this event provided a unique opportunity to reaffirm Moldova's commitment to European values and the active process of European integration. “Our country continues to be an example of progress and sustainability in the region, developing a sustainable, modern, and innovative economy. EU enlargement opens up additional investment opportunities for the country, access to the European market, and consolidation of the reforms necessary to build a competitive economy,” said Eugen Osmochescu. During the Forum, the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization met with European Commissioner Marta Kos, European Council President António Costa, and Romanian MEPs Siegfried Mureșan, Nicu Ștefănuță, Dan Barna, and Victor Negrescu, who confirmed their support for Moldova's European path. At the same time, at the European Business Summit in Brussels, Eugen Osmochescu noted the accelerated economic reforms in the country, especially in the IT and digital services sector, and emphasized Moldova's increasingly deep integration into European value chains. "Moldova is open to innovation, investment, and the future of Europe. We continue to create a competitive, transparent, and EU-oriented business environment to create real opportunities for every citizen," said the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization. He also met with the Moldovan community in Belgium and Luxembourg, emphasizing the important role of the diaspora in the development of our country and its European path. // 19.11.2025 — InfoMarket.
