Maib invests in the future of professionals, celebrating achievements at UTM 2026 Graduates Gala
Building a competitive economy starts with investing in people. Guided by this belief, maib proudly partnered as the general sponsor of the UTM 2026 Graduates Gala, an event that brought together more than 2,000 graduates from the 14 faculties of the Technical University of Moldova.
The new generation of engineers, architects, IT specialists, and other professionals marked the completion of their studies and the beginning of a new chapter – one where their knowledge will transform into solutions, innovation, and added value for Moldova’s economy.
Supporting education is part of maib’s strategy to develop human capital and nurture the skills society needs. Through sustainable partnerships with academia – including internship programs, dual education, and other initiatives – maib helps prepare a generation ready to meet the challenges of a constantly evolving economy, building real bridges between universities and the professional world.
Macar Stoianov, Vice President of maib, encouraged graduates to follow their dreams and make the most of opportunities for growth: “Investing in education is one of our most important values. Today, we don’t see you just as graduates. We see you as future colleagues, future leaders, future innovators. Stay curious, surround yourselves with genuine people, and build on solid foundations. I congratulate you on all you have achieved and wish you every success in everything that lies ahead.”
The UTM 2026 Graduates Gala celebrated students’ academic achievements, the dedication of the academic staff, and the support of families – marking the start of a new stage in the graduates’ professional journeys.
Svetlana Bodaci, Director of Human Resources at maib, highlighted the importance of collaboration between academia and business: “We are honoured to be part of this project that develops, nurtures, and supports the potential of new generations. In the coming period, we look forward to welcoming these young graduates to the maib team, where they will innovate and put their knowledge into practice, helping transform Moldova’s financial and banking sector.”
Viorel Bostan, Rector of the Technical University of Moldova, praised the long-standing partnership with maib: “It is very important for us to have a long-standing partnership with maib, which has always stood by us and supported our student initiatives. Maib has invested in educational facilities, created internship opportunities, contributed to curriculum modernization, and supported this important celebration where we honour the 2026 graduates.”
