Rules of vertical agreements in Moldova are being harmonized with EU legislation
The Competition Council has initiated public consultations on a draft regulation on the application of Article 6 of the Competition Law to vertical agreements and concerted practices, with the aim of harmonizing national legislation with EU law. The draft establishes clear rules and conditions under which certain categories of vertical agreements are exempt from the prohibition of anticompetitive practices, introduces updated definitions, a list of permitted and prohibited restrictions, and market share and turnover thresholds. The implementation of the new regulation is expected to increase legal certainty for businesses, reduce the risks of violating antitrust laws, and enhance the effectiveness of competition law enforcement. Consultations on the draft will be held until the end of February; documents can be downloaded from the Competition Council's website. // 17.02.2026 — InfoMarket.
