The Prime Minister made this statement during a meeting with Rosemary A. DiCarlo, UN Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, with whom he discussed Moldova-UN cooperation and the development of joint programs aimed at strengthening social cohesion. During the dialogue, Alexandru Munteanu thanked the organization for the assistance provided through UN agencies operating in our country, which contributes to improving the lives of citizens and brings Moldova closer to its goal of EU accession. "We are focused on reforms, economic growth, and appreciate the support and expertise we receive. Together, we can do more for our people," the Prime Minister stated. The parties discussed the current situation in the region, measures taken to improve energy resilience, the consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine, and how Moldova is promoting the social integration of refugees from its neighbor state. In turn, Rosemary A. DiCarlo assured of Moldova's full support for its European path, noting that the benefits of EU integration are consistent with the Sustainable sustainable development, on which the organization's activities are focused. Moldova and the UN's partnership is being implemented through a number of projects, including the development of an integrated digital management system for all social service programs – eSocial; support for major reforms, such as the social services reform (RESTART), the National Employment Agency, the State Labor Inspectorate, and the National council for determining disability and working capacity. Support was also provided to mayoralties in creating alternative social services, implementing environmental projects, and developing rural tourism and infrastructure.
