The Ministry of Finance and the Patronage Association of the Tourism Industry of Moldova discuss opportunities to support the industry and stimulate investment in tourism
According to the Ministry of Finance, during a meeting between Finance Minister Andrian Gavrilita and representatives of the Patronage Association of the Tourism Industry of Moldova, led by Sergiu Manea, they discussed ways to stimulate the development of domestic tourism. The discussions focused on policy options aimed at creating a predictable and competitive environment for economic operators in the tourism sector, capable of stimulating both domestic consumption of tourism services and attracting more foreign tourists. Particular attention was paid to the development of mechanisms that could increase tourism revenues, including through possible instruments supporting the sustainable development of the sector. Representatives of the Patronage Association of the Tourism Industry of Moldova welcomed the launch of vacation vouchers (tourist vouchers) and their impact on stimulating domestic tourism. As noted, this measure has the potential to increase visitor flows, especially in rural areas, supporting guest houses, wineries, restaurants, and other tourist accommodation facilities in Moldova.
