Moldova's trade turnover with Lithuania grew by 18% in 2025 and reached almost $50 million compared to 2024
This was discussed during a meeting between Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu and Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys. The parties discussed opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation, regional challenges, and support for Moldova in its European integration process. Prime Minister stressed that the Moldovan government's priorities are to move forward with EU integration, economic growth, and maintaining security. In this regard, he expressed gratitude to the Lithuanian Foreign Minister for the good cooperation between the two countries and noted the importance of Lithuania's presidency of the EU Council, which will begin on January 1, 2027, for advancing the agenda of enlargement. During the meeting, successful cooperation in the field of investment and trade was highlighted. This week, a business forum will be held in Chisinau with the participation of about 10 Lithuanian investors. Currently, 53 companies with Lithuanian capital operate in our country. In 2025, bilateral trade with Lithuania reached almost $50 million, which is 18% more than in 2024. Moldovan exports to Lithuania amounted to about $21 million and have steady growth potential.
