Moldova will begin applying regulations related to the implementation of the EU's Single European Sky (SES) initiative on January 1, 2028
The draft regulation was reviewed yesterday at a meeting at the State Chancellery. It establishes the creation and effective functioning of the Single European Sky with the aim of strengthening air traffic safety standards, promoting the sustainable development of the air transport system, and improving the overall efficiency of air traffic management and the provision of air navigation services for general air traffic in Europe, taking into account the needs of all airspace users. The Single European Sky encompasses a coordinated pan-European network, a more integrated airspace, and network and air traffic management systems based on the principles of safety, efficiency, interoperability, and technological modernization, for the benefit of all airspace users, citizens, and the environment. It is worth noting that Moldova has committed itself to implementing the SES under the Single Sky Agreement and must gradually harmonize its national sectoral legislation with European legislation. The draft is to be approved by the government. // 21.10.2025 — InfoMarket
