In August 2025, the National Roads Administration allocated approximately 223.46 million lei for the implementation of projects to restore, maintain, and modernize the national road infrastructure

As noted in the National Roads Administration’s report, more than 45.94 million lei of the total amount was allocated for the overhaul of roads and bridges. Currently, eight projects have been completed and work is continuing on seven construction sites for road reconstruction and repair. To ensure optimal traffic conditions on national roads, approximately 172.8 million lei was allocated for the maintenance of national roads in August. The work carried out includes: routine maintenance of asphalt concrete pavement (filling potholes, repairing cracks); repairing sidewalks and strengthening road shoulders; maintenance of road signaling and safety elements; maintenance of street lighting, bridges, pedestrian bridges; application of road markings, installation of signs, construction of roundabouts and public transport stops, etc. Of the 45 sections of regional roads, divided into 36 lots, 28 sections have already been completed and 17 are in the process of being completed. As for the projects started in 2025, work is underway on 51 of the 57 sections of regional roads, of which 16 are nearing completion, with the overall progress of the program exceeding 59%. // 09.10.2025 - InfoMarket
