Moldova and Poland have agreed to increase by about 65% the quotas for permits for road transport with third countries

This was reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, noting that this important result was achieved following the meeting of the Joint Moldovan-Polish Committee on International Road Transport, which was held on July 21-23 in Warsaw after a 17-year break. The Moldovan delegation was headed by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development Mircea Păscăluță. As noted by the department, following the discussions, an increase of about 65% was achieved in the quotas for permits for road transport with third countries, which is an important result for Moldovan operators. Other topics were also discussed: trade development, the use of permits from previous years, modernization and digitalization of the permit system, exchange of best practices and technical assistance for the implementation of public service obligations (PSO). The meeting ended with the signing of an official protocol on cooperation, which provides for the organization of annual meetings of the joint committee, the next of which is scheduled for Chisinau. The document also provides for an increase in the number of permits for 2025-2026, as well as strengthening interdepartmental technical cooperation in the process of harmonizing national legislation with European standards. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development reported that it continues to strengthen external partnerships, with a clear goal of modernizing the transport sector and bringing it into line with European standards. // 23.07.2025 — InfoMarket.
